We are thrilled you are considering a stay at our 175-year-old historic landmark. To ensure a seamless stay and to protect our extensive antique collection, please review these policies carefully. They answer nearly every question you may have and help you avoid unexpected charges.
I. Booking and Reservation Policies

Strict No-Refund Policy: All rooms are prepaid in full at the time of booking. We enforce a strict no-cancellation policy. There are NO refunds for any reason.

Rescheduling: We offer a one-time complimentary date change if requested at least 5 days prior to your original arrival date. This 5-day window is required to allow us time to re-list and sell the room. Changes requested after this window are non-refundable.
II. The Official Arrival Briefing and Check-In

Mandatory Video Briefing: To receive your entry code, you are required to watch a 2-minute Official Arrival Briefing video. This will be sent to your cell phone via text message at or before 3:00 PM on your arrival day.

Check-In Window: Initial self-check-in must be completed between 3:00 PM and 10:00 PM sharp.

Coming and Going: Once you have successfully completed your self-check-in and accessed your room, you are welcome to come and go as you please 24/7. However, you must have your initial entry completed by 10:00 PM; no first-time entries are permitted after this time.

Check-Out: Promptly at 11:00 AM. Remaining in the building past this time results in a full night charge.
III. Historic Property and Recommendations

Senior Citizen Advisory: Based on years of guest feedback and the structural limitations of our 1851 building, we do not recommend this property for senior citizens. Our Living Museum environment features uneven flooring, steep stairs, and high-activity corridors that historical enthusiasts enjoy but often lead to discomfort or dissatisfaction for those seeking a traditional, modern hotel experience.

Child Advisory: We do not recommend this property for children under 16. Children under 8 are strictly prohibited.

Accessibility: The hotel is NOT wheelchair accessible.

Climate Control: Our centralized system maintains a constant temperature of around 70 degrees Fahrenheit year-round to protect our antiques and reduce humidity.
IV. Amenities and Parking

Downstairs Suites: Feature Wi-Fi, Smart TVs, mini-fridges, seating areas, phone chargers, 1 plush towel per guest, 1 hand towel, and 1 washcloth per guest.

Upstairs Themed Rooms: Feature Wi-Fi, Smart TVs, 1 plush towel per guest, 1 hand towel, and 1 washcloth per guest.

Standard Toiletries: All rooms are provided with hand soap, shampoo, body wash, and 2 rolls of toilet paper for your convenience.

Heat-Generating Items: Due to insurance regulations, we are unable to provide items like hair dryers, but you are welcome to bring your own.

Common Areas: We offer a common area with Ice, Coffee, and Vending located next to our ballroom.

Parking: Street parking is available in the surrounding areas, and we provide a dedicated parking lot for hotel guests in the rear of the building.
V. House Rules and Preservation

Red Ropes and Closed Doors: Do NOT go past any red ropes that are not associated with your specific room. Do NOT open any doors that are closed. These areas are restricted for safety and preservation.

Antique Protection: If an item is broken and we are not notified immediately, you will be charged five times the item's assessed value.

Quiet Hours: 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM daily. Please respect our historic creaky floors and enter the building silently during these hours. (Suspended during event weekends)
VI. Alcohol and Smoking Policies

Alcohol and Public Intoxication: You must be able to walk to your room unassisted and enter quietly. If you enter the hotel in a state of visible intoxication, it is considered public intoxication; you will be removed immediately by local police without a refund. If no sober individual is available to drive you, you will be required to sleep in your vehicle.

NO Smoking or Vaping: We are 100 percent smoke-free and vape-free indoors. A 500 dollar fee applies to any violation. Our specialized detection systems alert staff immediately.

Marijuana Policy: Zero tolerance. Any odor of marijuana identified coming from your room or on your person whether via cigarette, vape, or otherwise will result in immediate police removal without a refund.

Emergency: In case of an emergency, please dial 911 or text our front desk at 901-468-3551.
VII. Security and Surveillance

Notice of Recording: We utilize a comprehensive security network with hundreds of integrated cameras and audio recording devices in all common areas like lobbies, hallways, ballroom, and saloon. Guest rooms and bathrooms are strictly excluded.

Use of Footage and Audio: These recordings are maintained for the protection of our guests and the historical integrity of the building. We reserve the right to use this video and audio for any necessary purpose, including:

Security Reviews and Internal Investigations.

Debunking False Claims: Providing evidence to correct inaccuracies in reviews or social media posts left by guests.

Legal and Police Documentation: Reporting crimes such as theft, public intoxication, property damage, or trespassing.

Insurance and Liability Claims: Documenting accidents or policy violations.

VIII. Legal and Property Disclosures

Lost and Found: The hotel does not offer a mail service for items left on the premises. It is the guest's responsibility to arrange for the collection of any lost property. Items not retrieved within 30 days will be considered abandoned.

Liability: Guests are responsible for any damage caused by themselves or their visitors. Soiled linens or carpets by vomit or blood require full replacement at the guest's expense.

Chargebacks: We do not accept chargebacks of any type. If you fail to arrive, or if you arrive and decide the property is not for you, no refunds will be issued. Any initiated chargeback will result in a re-debit of the full price paid for the room, plus a 50 dollar administrative fee. Failed transactions will be filed as a theft report with local police.
